the eikenbury family is one of the oldest in peculiar, having spent decades living in the oldest and spookiest house in dead ridge. when the house became too much for the remaining family to maintain, they sold it at a very cheap price and moved out in 1995. the house is now infamously known as 'the eikenbury house' and many urban legends surround it. the eikenburys seem a tad less innocent than they let on. they family has famously used their magic to practice necromancy in peculiar since the late 1800s. the town, including the historical society, believes the eikenburys performed a spell on their beloved douglas eikenbury, who died in 1901 after having an altercation with an unknown assailant. there was never any evidence of this until 2021, when his body was dug up, disappearing for nearly a week until it showed up in his final resting place once more. this has continued every year, close to the anniversary of his death (february 16, 1901). the eikenbury house currently sits abandoned in dead ridge and is now often a spot where teens break in to snoop around trying to find ghosts and corpses that the eikenbury family is rumored to have raised from the dead.
