alderburg
alderburg is one of the oldest neighborhoods in peculiar, located at the northeast corner of the town. it is a very affordable place to live though its houses and apartment buildings are far from modern. it is home to some of peculiar's longest running businesses and establishments and while many townies spend their days in the historic downtown area, many locals prefer the homey feel that alderburg provides.

dead ridge
dead ridge is a middle class neighborhood known for its stability, stunning lake and quaint charm. it is often referred to as the 'safest' place in peculiar as it does not have as much haunted history as the rest of the town. there is somewhere for everyone to live in dead ridge from houses, to apartments, to studios and condos.

devil hills
devil hills is the least "upscale" neighborbood in peculiar. it is the most southern point of the town and is considered to be where most of the darker spirits dwell. it is not a place most locals would recommend if you can afford to live elsewhere. that said, devil hills is not without its most loyal residents, most claiming that the neighborhood's reputation is misunderstood. the smaller group of residents living within devil hills are tightknit and advocate loudly for their neighborhood with pride. they are also known for their longstanding rivarly with graymire, an affluent neighborhood located directly to their west border.

forge ridge
forge ridge is known as peculiar's party scene. located in the northwest corner in the town, it is home to peculiar university and brings out college kids. it is mostly home to campus dorms, apartments and condos. there are three long streets of older campus houses within forge ridge for the fraternities and sororities as well as houses where devoted school faculty and administrators live.

graymire
sitting just south west of devil hills, graymire is the most affluent neighborhood in peculiar. the apartment buildings are all luxury based and the houses located within graymire are only affordable to those who make a lot of money in the town. graymire is not immune to ghostly happenings and has its fair share of issues in town. however, the rivalry between graymire and devil hills has led devil hills residents to take most of the blame for anything that goes wrong in graymire.

downtown peculiar
historic downtown peculiar is every small town tourist's dream. unique souvenir shops are on every corner alongside kitschy bed and breakfasts and hotels. regular ghost tours are offered during the week by town experts and ghost hunting groups gather to try to find new haunted spots in the 100+ year old landmarks and preserved houses. any tourist area would not be official without family owned themed restaurants and cafes. you won't find many chain stores or places to eat here!

phantom point
after making your way through 4 miles of peculiar's haunted, thick and lush forest you will find the area of phantom point. this large plot of land is meant for camping, making out and visiting the redrum cinema's drive-in location. it is the least busy area of the entire town; however, locals love it for the isolation, and tourists who love to camp love reserving a cabin or area to pitch their tents or park their RVs.
